The focus of this role is on marine science education coupled with learning about animal husbandry and what working at an aquarium is like. During summer, our educators/aquarist rotate teaching our three classes: Oceanography Merit BadgeBSA Aquarist and ROV: Ocean Exploration (assist/co-teach), and taking care of the aquarium as our lead aquarist (with the instruction of the Senior Aquarist).

The second half of the day is spent as an entire staff together working on projects, undergoing professional development, partaking in team bonding activities, or going for collection dives. For the ROV Instructor/Technician, their morning focuses on leading the instruction of the ROV course, which may be in the classroom or out on the water depending on the day.
